Christmas Jumpers

 This year I have 2 late craft fairs, in October , so I'm currently knitting Christmas jumpers for these.

I'm hoping to make 6 in each chest size, 14" 16" 18" 20" 22" 

So far I've made these 

Christmas stockings

 

I've not been able to find the right kind of felt to make stockings so I brought some plain ones that I'm going to hand decorate, using coloured felt, ribbons, buttons, bells and coloured embroidery thread.

I've got plain red, red with white cuff, green and some linen ones.

The ones I'm hoping to make are:

Santa

Gingerbread man

Merry Christmas

Christmas tree

Penguin

Reindeer

Tote bags

Tote bags are always a good thing to carry shopping or other bits and pieces, so I decided to make a few little one, in 2 different types for little ones.

A5 size big enough for a small book and a few sweets, and A4 size for a larger colouring book, pencils, crayons,  a rubber, and some stickers. and a pocket on the outside, for treasures

 

These bags will be lined for extra strength with fabric I found in the local charity shop and the outer being made in various fabric designs using fat quarters, the pockets will have light weight wading to stop the pocket from sagging,  I'll also add a matching book mark.

Recycled duvet

I've been looking for some yellow flowered fabric for some time to make some sundresses, rompers, and hats, well I was in my local charity shop #MundlesleyIndependentlifeboat and found a lovely single quilt and pillow slip in the fabric I've been looking for, so I've unpicked the seams and taken off the snaps so I have some lovely big pieces of fabric to use.

 

I should get a dress, a pair of rompers and perhaps a couple of hats and a small bag.

Now I have to decide where to put the flowered pattern, down the front or on both sides

October 2026 craft fairs

 

October pre Christmas craft fairs 

My next craft fairs this year is at #Eves Hill farmers market on the 18th October from 10am till 2.30pm, and the following Saturday I'll be at #Postcrafts at Coronation Hall, Mundesley, from 10am to 4pm with a full range of hand knitted jumpers and cardigans and hand sewn rompers and dresses from new born to 3 years I'll also have a range of Christmas Jumpers and other Christmassy items come along and say hello

Time for a little baking

 

Baking time 

Now my oldest grandson Edward now 5 and a half likes to help with baking and chopping veggies for dinner and Matty nearly 3 like to join in too, I've noticed when shopping there is very little choice in aprons for toddlers and children, so I though I would make a few to sell at my craft fairs and see what the interest is in them.

I've started with these Christmas patterned fabric ones first with a plain backing.

I've made them double sided patterned one side and plain on the other,  and I've chosen different materials for boys and girls.
